A Weekend Full of Exciting Homebrew Updates
here have been so many awesome Homebrew updates over the last few days that we can’t even get to them all to check them out (truth be told – ‘de Blob’ has gotten in the way – sorry guys). Here is a brief look at the reported Homebrew updates and additions for this weekend. If you have tested any of these out please feel free to post a comment and let us know what you think.
Wiibreaker version 0.3 has been released with some new artwork, but more importantly was the addition of Balance Board support. Not 100% sure but I’m thinking this is the first and only Homebrew game that allows the Balance Board as a control option. Wiibreaker is a “Break-out” style game where you move your platform back and forth trying to keep the ball bouncing around and destroying blocks. Balance Board support has the potential to really take this up a notch. Can’t wait to try it – been looking for an excuse to dust of the old Balance Board.
Other news includes the release of Wiicross v. 02 with a new Christmas theme and some fixes (very excited about this – love Wiicross). There has been an update to Wii-Tac-Toe and also the release of a new emulator, WiiApple, that emulates the Apple IIe. Oh and RedSquare was tweaked a little, version 0.71 now.
No doubt about it this has been one great weekend in the world of Homebrew. What a way to start the new year. Please keep up the great work everyone.
