Increase Your Wii’s Storage

Perhaps the biggest problem that most Nintendo Wii owner’s complain about is the very limited amount of internal storage that the Wii has. It does not take long for a Wii’s internal storage to be completed filled. A few Virtual Console games, a couple WiiWare games, some save files, and an extra Wii Channel or two and most Wii’s are filled. Of course, Nintendo’s solution to this storage problem has proven to less than ideal. They want you to delete older games and install new ones and then delete those files when you want to reload the other games again. Most Wii owners feel that this is really no solution at all, to what is really a fairly simple problem to fix.

Homebrew proves that the Wii can do what Nintendo refuses to allow. There are dozens and dozens of homebrew games and apps available right now and all of them can be run directly from a cheap, and easy to use sd card that can be inserted into any Wii. With Homebrew you can literally expand your Wii’s storage capabilities to whatever level you want. Swapping out one sd card for another is far more convenient than erasing and reinstalling games.

Right now Homebrew does not allow you to play WiiWare games from your sd card but it does open up the ability to add many homebrew games and apps as well as movie and music files to your Wii. When will Nintendo wake up and finally give Wii owners what they have been demanding for the last 2 years? When will Nintendo finally give all of us what Homebrewers have already given?
