wii homebrew browser – review

let’s just cut right to the chase here and get one thing straight, the homebrew browser is brilliant. no question about it this is a must have for anyone and everyone who wants homebrew on their nintendo wii. ok, sure you can install and update your homebrew apps without it and there are some limitations to what the browser can do (we’ll get into that shortly) but if can use the browser then you should, no question about it. now that that is out in the open let’s move on with the review shall we?

the homebrew browser supplies you with a well organized listing of most homebrew apps and allows you to download them directly to your sd card without ever taking the card out of your console. the browser also notifies you when new homebrew apps are available and when your favourite applications have been updated. download, installing, and updating apps through the browser is simple and effective which is exactly why you need it.

this video demonstrates how easy it is to add an app to your homebrew channel through the homebrew browser.

this video demonstrates the game redsquare, read our review, it also shows you how the homebrew browser can be used to update an app you have previously installed.

Redsquare
the only shortcomings that we can see to the browser is that it doesn’t list every homebrew app that is out there, not like any reasonable person would expect it to. let’s face it it would be a tough task to find, screen, and stay ahead of every homebrew app all the time. the other shortcoming is that you will still need to go hunting online with your computer, sd card in hand, to find and install your emulator game roms. (which is illegal if you don’t actually own a real copy of the game.)

wii homebrew review gladly gives the homebrew browser a rock solid definitely, so much so it almost makes me want to hit the shift key and capitalize something (almost…) (10/10)

here is the link you will want to follow to get the browser click here.
