Wii Homebrew Help!!!?

hi i have a wii with a mod chip in it and i was wondering if theres a way to install the homebrew channel through burning it to a DVD or somethng, becuase i was installing the Twilight hack and then the idiot i am i decided to update to 4.0 before installing the twilight hack(stupid idea) so is there any way to burn it to a DVD and install it using my chip?

  1. Well, yes and no. Yes you can install the homebrew channel without the twilight hack, but it only works on 3.2 and earlier so you won’t be able to do it.

    Basically before 3.3 there was a bug in the way that digital signing was checked that allowed code to be run without being properly signed. That would let you run homemade game discs (it was called the trucha bug), but that has been fully patched at this point so you can no longer do that.

    All you can do is wait for a new exploit (the bannerbomb exploit is supposed to be released in a couple of days, but that’s a rumor, not a promise from anyone). Once a new exploit is out you can use it to get the homebrew channel.

    I’d personally watch http://www.wehackwii.com for a new exploit.. they usually keep on top of new homebrew things like that.
